Concrete Mix 20kg Bag
Concrete Mix 20kg Bag
Concrete Mix is a quality blend of cement, sand and aggregates , designed for small projects around the home or garden. Its versatility allows it to be used for garden edges, mower strips, paths, garden slabs, foundations, footings, posts and uprights for pergolas.

HOW TO MIX
If using a concrete mixer, add water (1.75 litres of clean water per bag of Concrete Mix) to the mixing vessel. Empty the Concrete Mix blend slowly into the water and mix thoroughly. Only if absolutely needed, add small amounts of additional water (in increments of ~100ml) to achieve a workable mix. Too much water ruins good concrete.
OR if using a wheelbarrow, place Concrete Mix in the barrow, create a hollow and add 1.75 litres of water per bag and mix. Only if absolutely needed, add small amounts of additional water (in increments of ~100ml) to achieve a workable mix. Too much water ruins good concrete.
TIP: The mix should not be too stiff or too sloppy. Wet concrete should hold its shape when it is squeezed in a gloved hand.

HOW TO USE
Place the well mixed concrete in the formwork filling all corners, and compact. Level the concrete with a straight edge and finish the top surface with a wooden float or steel trowel. Keep the surface moist for 7 days to achieve maximum strength. Formwork may be removed after 24 hours. Don't walk on the concrete for at least 3 days after placing.
DID YOU KNOW...
A shovel should never be used to measure concrete or mortar ingredients by volume. Cement tends to lie flat on the shovel and will have less volume than the sand which affects the mix proportions and the ultimate quality of the finished mortar or concrete mix. It is recommended that a bucket is used for measuring all these dry ingredients and that an accurate measure like a plastic measuring jug is used for the water addition to give you high quality, consistent results with each batch you mix.
